Rhino Shield is a very technical product, and because of that there are often plenty of technical terms that we end up using here on the blog. These terms might be pretty unfamiliar to the average reader, so to help out with that we wanted to give some quick definitions for important terms that get used often here on the blog. If you see these terms in the future, now you'll know what they mean and how the relate to Rhino Shield:
- Ceramic: Any material made from nonmetallic minerals and heated to high temperatures (such as porcelain, brick, or earthenware)
- Leveling: The ability of a coating to smooth out as it dries; this leads to a sleek, smooth, clean finish once a coating has dried, and allows for an increased ability for water and dirt to runoff from a surface, and makes it more durable as a result
- Emissivity: The relative ability of a surface to emit heat through radiation
- Breathability: A substance with a high breathability allows gases and liquids to easily pass through without holding them inside; this means they’ll escape into the air and won’t stay contained inside a space and degrade building materials like wood or stone
- Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs): Organic chemicals that are highly photoreactive; these compounds are known to be connected with significant health problems and lower-quality air
